After receiving her baccalaureate degree in Nursing from the University of Wyoming in 2004, Rawlings took employment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota as an orthopedic trauma nurse. She then opted for the challenge of travel nursing, finding herself stationed in hospitals and clinics all over the country from Washington to South Carolina; from Arizona to Alaska. She was placed in equally varied settings in each station including pulmonary, gastrointestinal, neurological, and surgical oncology units. It was her goal to return to school after 5 years of working as a registered nurse and she did just that. While working on her master's degree at the University of Wyoming, Rawlings was employed by the University as a Graduate Clinical Instructor and took on the challenge of teaching new nurses clinical skills and how to utilize them with compassion and respect. Rawligns graduated from the University of Wyoming with her master's degree in nursing last summer but not before she was bestowed with the University's highest graduate teaching honor: the John P. Ellbogen Outstanding Graduate Assistant Teaching Award.

With all of her travels and experience, Rawlings decided to come to this area to put down some roots with her boyfriend who grew up in Montague, NJ. She is thrilled to be here and to discover all of the beauty, culture, and adventure the East Coast has to offer! She has interests in horseback riding (she grew up on a dude ranch in Wyoming!), pottery and crafts, dancing, travel, and outdoor activities like cross country skiing, hiking, camping and fishing.
